What Will I Watch?: Spring 2016 Anime Season

The Spring 2016 Anime Season is coming just beyond the horizon and I am making this list to inform you on what series I am most looking forward to. Keep in mind that they are NOT the only shows that I will be watching next season. But if you feel as if I missed something, then feel free to mention it down in the comments.

If anyone is wondering I plan to continue making these seasonal anticipated lists as I continue to be a blogger. Just be sure to keep an eye out for my Winter 2016 Final Thoughts post along with my wide range of reviews of shows from that season.

I haven’t really looked yet, been meaning too, Jojo Part 4 and Twin Star Exorcists are what I am looking forward to the most.

    1. I’m not a fan of Jojo, so I will be passing on that. But as for Twin Star Exorcists, I gunna give it the 3 ep rule. But I have extremely low expectations.

Seeing Pierrot working on a project in the same realm of Tokyo Ghoul, is very frightening.

I read the manga for Twin Star, I rather enjoy it. But I can tell they are going to go original for ending or they are going to have stretch/force a lot of things because of the manga.

If I had to say, out of the initial Spring lineup I’m probably most hyped for Bungou Stray Dogs, with Mayoiga being a close second.

As for shows you didn’t mention, well, I’d personally keep an eye out for Re:Zero.

    1. Boku no Hero Academia and Joker Game are my Top 2 for next season.

As for Re: Zero, I will try the first few episodes. But I’m not expecting much from the series.

Joker Game looks pretty solid yeah (being a Production I.G feature helps). Been hearing a lot of good things from Boku no Hero Academia too (though I’m still on the fence on that one).

Re:Zero doesn’t look to be anything special I agree (at least nothing that sets it apart from other LN adapts of the same vein). Kinda chose it as a wild card kinda thing xD

      2. Mayoiga is my wildcard anime of the season

These new anime are looking god. I will probably watch them later but I am looking forward to My Hero Academia, JoJo Part 4 and Kiznaiver. I heard from Kausus from Otaku Gamer Zone that Kiznaiver was made by the studios from Kill la Kill and I enjoyed that anime. If My Hero Academia does well, I wonder if it will beat One-Punch Man.

Those are exactly the ones I’m looking forward to checking out. Joker Game especially. I wish more anime were set in the 1930’s-40’s. I was fortunate enough to watch Rakugo right after finishing Baccano! and if Joker Game is good I’ll be set for another season! (And if it has a great jazz soundtrack I will be in euphoric bliss.)

    1. Glad to hear. I also checked out Re:Zero and that series was surprisingly better than I thought it would be.

Also in the Summer 2016 season, there will be an anime set in the Prohibition Era called “91 Days”. So if by any chance Joker Game is not good, we always have that show to hopefully be great just like how Rakugo was past season.

Oh, I’ll have to give it a shot. And that is wonderful news! It looks like an intriguing revenge story, with nice music and animation to boot (judging by the PV alone).

the zombie one and joker game both sound really good, and I hadn’t really heard of them recently browsing through. as for ones not included I think Re:Zero is gonna turn out really well as well as Sousei no onmyouji

    1. I have seen Re:Zero and you will be able to see my thoughts on it when i make my first impressions post.

For Twinstar… It’s just not my type of series. Also an 20ish chapter manga just can never be turned into 50 eps… That is just impossible.
